EXPLORE / PODCASTS

What do you like to listen to?

What do you like to listen to? Are you someone who likes to see what podcasts other people are listening to? If so, you will find the lists below quite interesting.

These were compiled recently by each of the sites from which they were obtained.  Most of the podcasts these pages reference have a pretty good description of the content that they put out.

With the proliferation of podcasts, there are more and more specific podcast titles available every day. It is hard to imagine that someone would have trouble finding something they would at least be curious to explore.

These top-notch sites seem to have done a bit of homework to curate these lists.

I have around 85 podcasts in my library, and am pleased with my listening strategy. I have a couple of podcasts with which I have tried to stay up to date. My favorite is The Knowledge Project with Shane Parrish

The rest are podcasts that I add to my library as I become aware of them. Always with the intention of listening to an episode here and there when I can make time. Most are very interesting topics or very interesting people. I do have a few with topics that may not be very interesting. However, I have determined that I could benefit from listening to some of them from time to time.

I have already spotted a couple in the lists above that I will be subscribing to.

How many podcasts do you have in your podcast library that you enjoy listening to?

If you really want to be amused and couldn’t find a podcast on the lists above, try looking for titles with the following terms: obscure, engaging, weird, creative, specialized, bizarre, strange, unusual, heartfelt, dark, creepy. And of course, you can try the more traditional titles: drama, comedy, education, health, etc.

Have fun looking over these lists, and don’t for a minute think that you will not be able to find a podcast that interests you, either on the links above or on your favorite search engine.

And if the many thousands of people have been able to create a podcast, why have you not started one of your own?

It is definitely a goal of mine to at some point in the future launch a podcast as well. My position will not be ‘I have something to say’, it will simply be ‘I want to learn how to record a conversation and send it out into the airwaves’.

I already have the book to begin. I actually also have a simple audio recording set.

However, even though it is a goal and I have taken steps to make sure it happens by acquiring the book and the equipment, it is not a top priority at this time.

In the meantime, happy listening!
